Could Posluszny be the next Urlacher?

I know he's compared to Shane Conlan, but what about him becoming the next Urlacher is it possible or is Urlacher in a league of his own?

While I expect Poz to play very well in the middle and believe him to be a great fit here.....Urlacher he is not.

its, Funny when i first heard about pos, i always thought of Urlacher. Not because i thought there styles of play were similar... just because there both White, and will probly both be playing mlb. I cant really comment on Pos since i really havent seen him play, but i think any comparisons to Urlacher are primarily based on looks. Sure its fun to predict what Pos will be like, but only time will tell.

Urlacher? He has a better chance of being the next Keith Newman - get serious here!

Yes, he could be. no one can ever say that he cannot be, because it is something we dont know.

so, heres to having a possible future Urlacher.

Why is it when a white linebacker comes into the league he is the next Urlacher? Why can't he be the next Keith Brooking? Zach Thomas? Dan Morgan? Bruschi?

              How about a bigger Speilman.

I'd be very happy about that!

Urlacher is a better natural athlete. He runs a 40 in the same area that Patrick Willis does. Posluszny has OK speed for a linebacker, but nowhere near "freakish" speed. He's going to have to do it on intelligence and hustle.

I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

                    Two different players.

Enough of these silly comparisons already. Besides everyone knows that Lynch is the next Marshal Faulk!!

Can we wait to watch the guy play before we start comparing him to anyone?

I think he's going to be better than Spielman. To me I'd say he's a bigger Zach Thomas. He played at 238lb and I won't be surprised to see him at 245lb range next year.

Spielman is not a sideline to sideline LB. Thomas is, and so will be Poz. I fully expect that he recovers from PCL and MCL torn in Jan 2006 by this Sept. I really think his injury hampered his 2006 performance which caused his stock to fall.

What is big in my book about Poz is that he HAS that football instinct that very few has. Ray Lewis has the best instinct I've seen and he's the perfect physique as well, which makes him one of the best to ever play the position. Zack Thomas has it, too, and that translated him from a not so fast, not so big player into an elite MLB. Physically, Urlacher is the best among the bunch, size, strength, and speed. He has good instincts, but not in the class of Lewis and Thomas.

I'd put Poz' instinct between Urlacher and Lewis level. Of course, we'll see what he showed in college translates well to the pro, and the unlikely scenario that he loses his speed permenantly from the injury.

One thing you can all bet on: he's natural leader just like Lewis, Thomas, and Urlacher for their respective teams. He led PSU defense and called plays for them for 3 years. He went to Senior ball and was named captain. For a Bills team that full of youngsters, I consider leadership is at premium. Poz is perfect fit here.
