I love predictions, and I really would like to see how high or low these projections will be. I really think Lynch will have a great rookie year, and could very possibly be offensive rookie of the year, when its all said and done. His success will depend upon these following factors:

1.) Will our line be that much better than last year (I def' think so)

2.) Will our passing game be respectable enough for defenses to respect us (w/ Evans & company hell yes)

3.) do we have a smart and knowledgeable coaching staff, that will utilize Lynch the correct way (I believe so)

4.) Does he have the talent, work-ethic, and support (hell yeah)

With all that said, here's what I predict:
===========================

1050 yards rushing
4.4 ypc
6 rushing td's

40 receptions
350 yds
1 td
============================

we have to stop with the Lynch mob references IMO... It's an insult to any African American. I'm not sure Marshawn would like to be referenced to such a dark period in our history.

just food for thought... but IMO it really isn't appropriate.

You're assuming that we are referring it to just a specific group of people.

the phrase "Lynch Mob" was certainly used during his time at Cal.

I expect that some pithy sportswriters will pick up on using "Lynchpin," since Buffalo's success may be largely determined by how well Marshawn fares.

I apologize if that statement is offensive. I really don't think it is at all, but if you thought it was, sorry dogg... Just thought it sounded cool. Won't say it anymore:surrender

It's not an anti-African American thing. If anything you should be more offended by having our team or fans associated with lawlessness....

"Lynching is the practice whereby a mob--usually several dozen or several hundred persons--takes the law into its own hands in order to injure and kill a person accused of some wrongdoing (http://www.answers.com/topic/wrongdoer). The alleged offense can range from a serious crime like theft or murder to a mere violation of local customs and sensibilities. The issue of the victim's guilt is usually secondary, since the mob serves as prosecutor, judge, jury, and executioner (http://www.answers.com/topic/executioner). Due process yields to momentary (http://www.answers.com/topic/momentary) passions and expedient (http://www.answers.com/topic/expedient) objectives.

Vigilantism, or summary justice, has a long history, but the term lynch law originated during the American Revolution (http://www.answers.com/topic/american-revolution) with Col. Charles Lynch and his Virginia associates, who responded to unsettled times by making their own rules for confronting Tories and criminal elements. "Lynching" found an easy acceptance as the nation expanded. Raw frontier conditions encouraged swift punishment for real, imagined, or anticipated criminal behavior. Historically, social control has been an essential aspect of mob rule.

Opponents of slavery in pre-Civil War America and cattle rustlers, gamblers, horse thieves, and other "desperadoes (http://www.answers.com/topic/desperado)" in the South and Old West were nineteenth-century targets. From the 1880s onward, however, mob violence increasingly reflected white America's contempt for various racial, ethnic, and cultural groups. African-Americans especially, and sometimes Native Americans (http://www.answers.com/topic/native-american), Latinos, Jews, Asian immigrants, and European newcomers, felt the mob's fury."

As a 3 down guy, unless I missed something, Lynch should most certainly crack 1000 yards. I fully expect him to have 200-300 yards recieving as well. TO my knowledge the big reason this guy is here (apart need) is his versatility and ability to "do it all".

Willis had 990 behind a mediocre OL, with our off-season additions Lynch had better bust that open.

Most definitly a candidate for offensive rookie of the year.

LOL, and 600 yards for our #1 RB is realistic?

He wont start till week 5 or 6, our OL has two new starters so they will need time to gel, we play in an extremely tough division and our schedule sucks too. He is going to be splitting time with both A-train and Wright so yea, he likely may not hit a 25 carry game till somewhere around week 13 or so. I dont expect a big year from him.
