All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
NFL | Coleman 40-yard dash times
Tue, 17 Apr 2007 15:12:24 -0700
Joel Turner has confirmed to KFFL that University of Clemson CB Duane Coleman ran the 40-yard dash in 4.42 and 4.45 seconds.
Just because he can a fast 40 doesn't mean he can cover anyone who runs a route other than a "go long". It doesn't even imply that he has a quick recovery speed. It just means he runs really fast in a straight line for 40 yards under non-football conditions.
That being said, I hope he blows us all away with his abilities at DB.

I agree. Far too much emphasis is put on timed speed on a track in shorts and a T-shirt, and too little on football instincts, abilities and productivity.
But speed is certainly a good quality for a CB.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Most say he has a shot of being a decent Cover 2 corner.....Depth is what we need .....Special teams will be his way on the roster then we will see what happens.
