All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Center Paul Gaustad will see a doctor today to check the progress of his severed ankle tendon. He practiced Wednesday and has been cleared to play Friday. Coach Lindy Ruff wouldn’t commit to using Gaustad.
“I’m not sure whether I’m playing Friday night, but we’ll see. I’m just happy to be at the point where I’m at.”
“You hold a players only meeting and get each guy to stand up and say what he can bring to the table... and if he doesn't, you punch him in the face.” ~~ Harry Neale, on how to fix the Sabres season.
Let's see the Sabres lack intensity...Gaustad is healthy....Does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that if he is healthy enough and Ruff feels his conditioning is good he'll be in there. He is exactly what the Sabres need right now...And he is very hungry...
I heard an interview with Ruff and he said that if he was OK to play and he decided not to play him Gaustad would break down his door. I don't think, barring something with the injury, there is any way that Paul DOESN'T play.
Good choice for now. Stafford has had his moments, but he still shows his rookie side at times.
When was the last moment Hecht had? Im sorry Goose can kill penalties Hecht should ride the pine. Followed by Pommer if he doesn't pick it up. stafford has outplayed the both.

I think that Hecht will be given one more chance, this time on the Drury/Zubrus line. If he bombs again, he'll be benched just like Max was. Something tells me that Lindy will stick with the vets and will bench Stafford due to his inexperience.
