Guess Drew Rosenhous is losing his leverage with this guy. I guess he should have said he will be a #1 pick, he will win ROY, and he will be an all-pro. Then not try to haggle money on an undrafted rookie.

I knew it was a mistake for him to declare.

With next year's draft so full of RB prospects, this year was the year to declare for him. He made the right decision, just too bad it's not working out so far.

I thought the same thing. Then I looked at the RB class next year and I really don't think he would have fared any better if he would have stayed at ND. The fact that this was by all means a weak RB class and nobody took a flier on him in the later rounds is amazing to me. Do I think he's going to be a superstar in the NFL, no. But he did put up some pretty good numbers against top notch competition. I wish the best for Walker, I think he's a good kid.

I THOUGHT HE GOT SIGNED BY CHICAGO.

Clearly you didn't bother reading the article:

A deal with the Chicago Bears, once imminent, has stalled and Walker will not, as previously widely reported, be reporting to Lake Forest, Ill., to begin the long, arduous road to a roster spot with the NFC champs.

The odd thing is, now that he gave up his NCAA eligibility but went undrafted, he's planning on going back to school at ND and finish up his degree. So he'll be walking around campus just like a regular joe instead of the star football player he used to be. Weird.

Had Buffalo not already drafted Lynch and Wright, and signed Josh Scobey, I would have said Buffalo should sign him for competition for Schaud Williams, but with 6 running backs on the team I think Williams is already living on borrowed time and there is no way Darius Walker makes this team. Besides we've already got a Darwin Walker. Adding a Darius would be too confusing.

Shame really im not a ND fan by any stretch but he seems like a good kid i figured someone would have taken a flyer on him in 6 or 7.

Hopefully he catches on somewhere.

I don't get it.

What's the knock against him?

Why wasn't he at least drafted?

Because of Drew Rosenhose.

yeah he is a good kid- hopefully someone will pick him up. Next year's RB class should be good, but at least then he'd have another year to play football at ND.

Someone gave this kid some really horrible advice about turning pro..

Having said that, I think he'll catch on somewhere..

size is the biggest knock on him. He was great at ND but I don't think he's big enough to move the pile or take an NFL pounding- IMO he's a more talented version of Shaud Williams. If Shaud can stay in the NFL this long, I see no reason why someone shouldn't give Darius a shot.

I'm really shocked that no one even signed him as a UDFA to take a look at him in camp.
