Scratching Max in game 4 after his putrid performace in game 3 was well handed and equally deserved.
Writing Max back into the line-up last night was a coaching masterpiece. Max was all over the ice and playing at a much higher level then he's played since returning from his injury. But rewarding Max by placing his line on the power play OT was perfection.
That decision and that goal should give the Sabres plenty of confidence and momentum to run over the Rangers in game 6. Afinagenov will be pumped to hit the ice Sunday and after watching the team's reaction just after the win last night, I'm convinced that their respect for Lindy just tripled.
