Jaguars CB Ahmad Carroll was arrested early Saturday on suspicion of being involved in a disturbance with a weapon.
It's been a rough offseason for the Jags. Carroll, who was released on a $700,000 bond, appeared a long shot to make the team even before this.

Talk about a first round bust.

He's the guy Green Bay selected after we jumped ahead of them and took Losman.

It screwed their whole draft day

People have a hard time waiting until conviction to hand out sentences........although $700,000 bond usually means trouble.

this guy has sucked so bad ever since he entered the league, and it seems as though he hasnt done much to improve in any way. what a waste of god-given talent.

the Bills did it again this year. They probably would have taken Lynch if we didn't and I just read that they were interested in Wright in the 4th

There’s speculation Green Bay wanted Fresno State’s Wright in the fourth round because the Pack liked him. Right after the Bills took him with the 111th pick, the Packers traded down from 112 to 119.

Jaguars released CB Ahmad Carroll.
After his arrest Saturday, Carroll could face a suspension if he catches on with another club. But the chances of that happening appear to be slim.

Great job by the Jags.

The Jacksonville Jaguars (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/jac/) waived cornerback Ahmad Carroll (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6784/) on Monday, two days after he was arrested on weapon and drug charges.

Carroll was questioned by Atlanta police early Saturday after he was identified as someone involved during a disturbance at a restaurant, authorities said.

Atlanta police spokesman officer James Polite said Carroll acknowledged he was carrying a 9mm pistol. Police then searched his car and found 11 pink tablets believed to be ecstasy. He was arrested and charged with carrying a weapon without a license, possession of drugs and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

BTW, Props to the Jaguars for tossing the trash to the curb right away. It looks like the new tougher NFL is already having an impact with the average players. Hopefully it will get the star players next.

What is it with NFL players and guns? I can more easily understand the esctasy pills, but why in the world do these guys feel the need to have guns? Maybe it's the violent nature of football that just attracts more violent people. That's something to think about.

Anyway, it seems like most NFL players could kick the living hell out of most people on the street in they wanted to, so again, why the guns?
