All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Some interesting invites to Rookie Mini camp this weekend
ROOKIE MINICAMP TRYOUT PLAYERS: Like a lot of the other NFL teams that held their rookie minicamps last weekend, the Bills has invited some undrafted free agent players to their rookie minicamp for a three day tryout. There are 15 in all which will give Buffalo's coaching staff a total of 43 players to work with during the three-day session. Here's the list of players in for a tryout this weekend. Pos.Name Ht.Wt.College
TE Tommy Christy 6'3" 258 Ohio
S Jon Corto 6'0" 208 Sacred Heart
OLB Larry Edwards 6'2" 235 North Carolina
DT Chris Hudler 6'3" 289 Texas Tech
LS Aaron King 6'1" 239 UTEP
WR Joe Konrad 6'2" 200 John Carroll
CB Greg Lovely 6'0" 176 SW Missouri St.
OLB John Mohring 6'1" 225 Georgia Southern

QB Perry Patterson 6'4" 242 Syracuse
DE Jeremy Pittman 6'4" 250 Central Arkansas
OLB Mario Reese 6'3" 230 Minnesota
K Reagan Schneider 5'11" 180 UTEP
DT Kenyon Scott 6'3" 327 Texas Tech
C Kyle Young 6'5" 330 Fresno State

Some interesting DT's they might be looking to grab a LB or S out of this crop too, we do got 5 roster spots available i think
Re: Some interesting invites to Rookie Mini camp this weekend
Kyle Young from Fresno State might have a chance to make the team. I saw him play a couple of times; he is a monster. Too big for a center, but maybe a guard.

Re: Some interesting invites to Rookie Mini camp this weekend
last I heard, we had 75 on the active roster and there is a max of 80 for camp. So if that's still the case, it's a safe bet that 5 of these guys will make it to camp, but I'd be shocked if any of them made it any further

i think Marv likes big centers, they r trying to convert Merz to C and he was 345lbs and 6'5, but G is always an option too, i like the LB from Minn he can run

Re: Some interesting invites to Rookie Mini camp this weekend
Kyle Young BIOGRAPHY: Four-year starter awarded All-Conference honors after his sophomore and junior campaigns. Suspended for the final four games of his senior campaign after he stopped attending class.
POSITIVES: Tall, strong, small-area blocker who's been durable and productive on the college level. Effective with the shotgun snaps, fights throughout the action and keeps his head on a swivel. Good with his hands, gets them up into defenders.
NEGATIVES: Lacks footwork, lateral blocking range and ability in space. Does not play with great balance and cannot adjust.
ANALYSIS: A physical lineman with terrific size, Young offers potential at either guard or center. Likely will slip into the late rounds yet has ability for the next level if he refocuses.
Re: Some interesting invites to Rookie Mini camp this weekend
entering last season Kyle Young was the top C prospect and now he is being invited to a rookie camp with no guarantee of signing a contract....i hope he shows up in shape and shows us he can get better
Re: Some interesting invites to Rookie Mini camp this weekend
More analysis on Kyle Young:
Strengths:
Has terrific size...Extremely strong and physical...Tough and aggressive...Stout at the point of attack and will not get pushed around...Has a nasty demeanor and a killer instinct...Versatile...Durable...A hard worker and coaches speak highly of his intangibles...Excellent awareness and a high football IQ...Has a lot of experience.
Weaknesses:
Not a great athlete...Lacks top speed and quickness...Won't do much in space or get to the second level...Is not light on his feet...Has short arms...Doesn't always play with great leverage...Won't be a fit for every scheme...Intelligence an issue?
Notes:
A four-year starter...Was suspended for academic troubles in November of 2006 and missed the remainder of his senior season...Could also project to right tackle or guard at the next level...A classic mauler...Similar in many ways to Minnesota Viking Ryan Cook...Not quite the pro prospect many thought he would be earlier in his career but he is a very solid player who could excel with the right franchise.
I hope he puts enough into it to make our PS. He might be a good project to develop for when Fowler retires...
