<A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/173">Jim Wyatt, of the Tennessean (http://www.kffl.com/link/136), reports Tennessee Titans (http://www.kffl.com/team/36/nfl) CB Adam Jones (http://www.kffl.com/player/11221/nfl) and his attorneys, Manny Arora and Mark Trigg, could file a federal lawsuit against the National Football League if the league does not reduce the one-year suspension issued to Jones. "Mr. Jones respectfully does not concede that the Commissioner's resolution of the appeal will constitute full, final and complete disposition of the dispute," Jones' attorneys wrote in their appeal letter to the NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl). "Mr. Jones expressly reserves and does not waive any and all other legal remedies which may be available to him."

If only he could go to a new team, get a fresh start, turn over a new leafe.... A team that would understand and support him while not judging him...... Like the Bengals.

Really this is too easy.

what I don't understand is how the NFL isn't like any other workplace (ok, I understand, but don't agree) - even one with unions - if you get arrested or charged with crimes 9 times in the space of a couple years, missing work and all that, you're a goner.

This guy is really getting some bad advice. He needs to dissappear for a year, stay in shape, and show up next year. Instead, he's going to get completely blacklisted by the three teams that haven't already.

here's an idea: if you don't like the consequences of getting arrested, STOP ****ING GETTING ARRESTED.

this dude needs to STFU and take his medicine like a man. his repeated offenses prove he has yet to take the game or his own future seriously.

If the dude seriously realizes he screwed up he needs to man up, admit he has been an idiot, and just sit out the year. Use the time to get his life turned around and come back a better person for it all.

Great idea anyway. Hey, let's sue the NFL.

Two years salary in legal fees later.

We have seen alot more idiotic court cases then this one. If it gets to court anything can happen

Playing in the NFL is not his right it is a privlage and the new commish wants to make that clear to everyone. Privlages can be taken away and that is what is happening. Whats next out jones mouth that it's a race thing.

He has maurcie clarett syndrome which is "It's everyone elses fault but my own please give me 10th chance please."

Is there a legal reason why the NFL (or any other league) is not allowed to be like any other business and "hire" (or not hire) whom they want?

First off he will have to go it alone cause it was the players and the union that made this policy happen. Second know body has taken the NFL to court and won! This thug doesn't stand a chance!

The NFL is a private organization, which can handle work-related issues such as discipline in any way it sees fit, as long as it doesn't violate federal law. (At least that's how it works for my consulting business.)

If the NFL's punishment of Jones doesn't violate federal anti-discrimination statutes or federal labor laws, he should have no case.

But you know lawyers, and liberal judges. . .
