I know this is a bit old but i have not seen it anywhere on here. Funny how dolphin fans think he is going to be better when their own front office didnt even feel that way. We get ripped for taking Edwards in the third but they were ready to grab him in the 2nd. Just thought this was interesting and wanted to share it for future arguments with fellow dolphin fans

Beck was not mightier than Quinn

Contrary to reports, the Miami Dolphins did not have a higher grade on second-round pick John Beck than Brady Quinn. But Miami liked the Brigham Young University quarterback enough to try to trade up into the first round to assure themselves they would get him.

Had Beck been selected before Miami picked, the Dolphins would have selected Stanford's Trent Edwards.
