Hats off to some slow-witted athletes

A photo of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady appeared last week in the New York Post. The photo would have been forgotten by lunch. Except for the hat Brady was wearing. A New York Yankees hat. There are a lot of things you shouldn't do if you're a star athlete. One of them is this: If you headline a Boston area team, any Boston area team, you don't wear a Yankees hat. Ever. For athletes who still aren't picking up on social blunders that tick off fans, here are a couple of more don'ts:

1 If you're a running back for the Buffalo Bills, don't tell a reporter the franchise should move to Toronto-- unless you really want to get traded. It worked for Willis McGahee.

2 If you're a former running back for the Buffalo Bills, don't agree to a book/TV special titled If I Did It, when everyone knows you did. (Allegedly.)

3 Don't rave on live national TV about tutoring a new teammate who went to your school, plays the same position, possesses the same skill set and is a decade younger. Memo to the currently unemployed Keyshawn Johnson: "Teammate" and "Replacement" are not synonymous.
