It wasn't a goal

either way it was close enough that it should have been reviewed. Without seeing all the camera angles, how can you be so sure?

The slomotion close up plus the angle it came out make me very confident that the back bar is where it hit.

I can totally understand how the refs on the ice missed it, but it has tobe reviewed.

In the interest of fairness here is some compelling evidence that maybe it isn't a goal.

I've watched it a dozen times now and it clearly wasn't a goal. It looks to me like the puck hits the front of the crossbar and caroms out the other side, almost at the perfect expected angle. The puck is clearly in front of the crossbar at all times.

How do we know it wasn't reviewed? The play didn't stop after this play. It goes on for a while. They were probably looking at it while play continue'd. It was the only game that night. What else did they have to do?

That very last shot of the slow mo makes it VERY clear. It wasn't a goal.

It wasn't a goal. After reading Skatezilla's post I went back on the DVR and looked at it again. It clearly hits the crossbar and you can't see it as it goes across the remainder of the crossbar and you finally see it when it comes out to the left.

Here is what it did:

Because of the angle you couldn't see it across the front of the crossbar unless you are in slow motion.

I forget that refs name, but he was right there, in position to see the angle and the way the puck hit the crossbar and bounced out. There was no need for a replay, he was right there.

Plus, if it hit the back of the net, wouldn't there be a lot more fans around the end celebrating?

It wasnt a goal. End of story. Lock this thread.

Hockey night in Canada showed the replay from behind the net. It hit emerys glove, then hit the crossbar on its flatside causing the weird bounce off the pipe.

Also--- Brad Riter just confirmed it on "The Power-Play", he seen the same video as I did. He puts a positive spin on EVERYTHING relating to the Sabres.. and for him to say "I'm 100% sure it was not a goal" says something.

NO GOAL.
