They have a great TE in Randy McMichael, I doubt they will offer Jay much more than the Min. I dont know why he didnt take it to stay here. this seems like a dumb move...ohh wait we ARE talking about the fins.

IMO Reimersme could have played for free and he would have been released.

in a thread at finheaven one of them said they think JR would be an upgrade....because of his BLOCKING SKILLS!

To tell ya the truth, I know Im probably the only one that is in this thought process, but I really dont want JR playing in our division. The guy can still play and as far as the Phish are concerned, 2 TE sets dont look bad when you dont have very good WR and Ricky Williams in the backfield.

With Fiedlers arm , he should be able to catch those passes.

MIA can't afford him. I thought one of the reasons we released Jay was because he still wanted too much money and wouldn't restructure his contract. MIA has McMichael and don't need a overpaid backup TE. Minnesota has Kleinsausser (sp?) and probably dont' need him either. But then again MIN has tons of cap room so they can waste their money all they want. In fact if Jay goes to MIN I'll have to drive up there to meet him.

I think JR is finding his market value isn't nearly what he thought it was. JR will not be a difference maker at Miami, or anywhere else. He's an OK TE if you can live with his drops and so-so blocking.

The Dolphins aren't in bad cap shape. They currently are $1.72M under the cap without restructuring any major contracts or extending Zach Thomas. They have wiggle room.

Their wiggle room is call the rookie pool. They will need that $1.72 for draft picks!
