Never heard of either of them, and Corto is from WNY.

About Larry Edwards:

http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/players/101537

6'2" 235 lbs

The good: Edwards run wells, stays on his feet and has the ability to shed blockers. He has developed pass coverage skills and managed a few interceptions in his career. He’s a tough competitor with a good motor who can defend with run with functional strength and sound technique. He has good strength against the run and can play over the tight end, get separation and make tackles. He’s a good athlete with strong tackling skills and mobility and he showed a good work ethic throughout his collegiate career in which he developed instincts that compensated for his marginal 6-feet-1, 230-pound frame. In run support he his able to keep leverage against blockers and has the quickness to get to the hole and the lateral pursuit to get through traffic and avoid the cut block. He’s big at taking on blocks and can stuff the run directed at him at the Division I level and can close quickly and secure when he raps up the ball carrier.

The bad: He fractured a collarbone midway through the season and did not attend the NFL combine. He has only margin speed for the strongside spot and needs to work on his ability to drop in pass coverage before he can be rated an every down defender. He matches up fairly well with tight ends but struggles staying with backs outside of the short zones.

Outlook: He could be a standout on special teams and has played at a high level on those units. Overall, he’s tough and dependable despite his marginal size and speed. He’s had injury problems and off-field issues that must he addressed. He could beome a starter if he develops his overall game. He looks like a fine late second ay addition who would surprise later on.

I was confused why Sacred Heart was the Pioneers, thought they would be the saints or something, so i went to their website and there he is! I guess it doesnt matter as long as they arent the Devils or Demons. that would just be weird.

Leave it to a United Methodist school to opt for a demonic name: the Duke Blue Devils

Are United Methodists truly Free, or are Free Methodists ever United?

Patterson was a very big part of that crappy O. I am a huge Cuse fan and I am glad to see him gone.

If I am not mistaken, and I don't think I am, John Corto's parents own a hair salon in Hamburg suprisingly named Cortos.

Corto means shorts, so I don't want a guy like that on my team. :nono:

Edwards could be our next and cheaper version of Stammer.
