The professional and major college teams that I root for that have won championships, post-Super Bowl era only.....

MLB-Philadelphia Phillies, 1980 (I quit following baseball shortly after).

NBA-Detroit Pistons, 1989, 1990, 2004.

NCAA MBB-Syracuse Orangemen, 2003.

That's it for me.

How about you?

ohhh hell lets see here

Pittsburgh Pirates - 5 World Series' wins (1909, 1925, 1960, 1971, 1979) has had a losing season nearly every year of my existance (1985 dammit haha)

Buffalo Bills - Obviously none, never had the chance to see any of Super Bowls unfortunately

Penn State Football - nly just started following, but big championship in '05 (which was a sweet game)

UNC basketball - lots haha

Notre Dame 1988 (although I was so young that I don't remember it that well)
Chicago Bulls 1991-93 and 96-98
Toronto Blue Jays 94 and 95

I stopped following baseball after the strike but recently started following the Nationals when DC got the team. I stopped following basketball after Jordan left because it's like the NBA light.

So, of the teams I root for now- Nationals, Sabres, Bills, and Notre Dame- only the Irish have ever won a championship and I was 8 years old so I barely remember.

I live in Buffalo and as a REAL Buffalonian should, my only two pro teams, the Bills and Sabres, have never won a damn thing. Still waiting...

I do, however, like Michigan hockey and football. Both programs have had their share of success.

Those that I followed:

Detroit Tigers: 1984

Detroit Pistons: 1989, 1990, 2004, 2007?

Arizona Wildcats: 1997

Like everyone else, still waiting on the only two that truly count.

Detroit Tigers - 1984
Duke Blue Devils Basketball - 1991, 1992, 2001
Miami Hurricanes Football - 1983, 1987, 1989, 1991, 2001

And of course the 2 that count the most have none...

91 and 01 were great years for me in college sports however. Especially 2001 since I was 19 at that point and really into sports, more so than 91 when I was only 9.

Only the 2003 'Cuse NCAA Basketball Championship, plus their 9 Lacrosse titles.

Still waiting for UB, the Bills, Sabres and Cleveland Indians (who last won a World Series in '48, when I was too young to care.)

MLB: 1985 Royals, sorry redbird fans but we did win that series fair and square, then again we made a faustian deal because we haven't been to the post season since

NBA: Chicago Bulls 1991,1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998

NCAA: UCM Mules (mens) and Jennies (womens) 1984 Division II basketball champs. Only UConn has ever matched this on any level in NCAA basketball history. We were the first.

Well Aloha.
