ESPN's Michael Smith reported today that free agent receiver Keyshawn Johnson could be headed to New England, in part because of his relationship with Bill Belichick (from their days with the Jets).

the salary cap is inconsequential these days...with the way contracts can be structured I would have had him a deal within the hour of being cut...you can always cut guys.

How many receivers do they need? This has to be a joke.

Keyshawn and Moss on the same team? Yeah, that'll work....

BB must be loading up to make one last run at the sb before he retires and settles down with someone else's wife.

Don't believe every rummor out there, just use your logic: NE has already Randy Moss (#1), Donte Stallworth (#2) and Reche Caldwell (#3) so what is the purpose of bringing another number one reciever to the team?

I predicted this. Not surprised at all.

In fact Moulds should be talking to them. NE doesn't let a receiver walk away without a contract.

The Answer's sources have told him that Keyshawn wants to sign with a superbowl contender, and if he can't he will likely retire instead of signing with the raiders or titans.

Keyshawn isn't a #1 receiver anymore at this point in his career - at this point he's a rock solid 2nd or 3rd option that can still catch balls in traffic and make big 3rd down conversions.

After what happened in Carolina it's probably safe to say he has his ego in check and if he does end up in New England look out...

Through a lot of hard work, I was painstakingly able to track down The Answer's sources (http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-US&ie=utf8&oe=utf8&q=keyshawn+contender)!
