    Patriots HOF

I almost spit out my coffee when I read this on the Thursday One-liners section:

The Pats are building their own Hall of Fame. (Will Walt Coleman be the first person inducted?)

They have had one for a long time.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
    It was all
true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can
mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

The Pats new HOF facility is going to be part of a complex built around the stadium that will include a Shopping center, Luxury Hotel and restaurants. It will increase the use of the land around the stadium (all owned by Bob Kraft) and is an example of the manner in which the Krafts have found innovative ways to increase revenue.

The Packers already have a place like that.

I've been there. It's pretty cool. Lambeau draws visitors all year long and they bank on it.

I'm still waiting for the Bills to go back this idea. It would have been perfect. Tom Donahoe was one of the ones looking into doing it, until he got fired.

Ha ha, that is SO true. They should just put it up on the HOF as "The 12th Man - The refs!"

The only Patriots that were worth their weight in spit were Gino Cappaletti and John Hannah.

It's going to be a lonely hall.

I think Brady may have worked his way into their company.
