    schouman potential

i was just watching the highlights of our draft picks that TGOJK posted and watching schoumann gets me very excited. the kid runs over defenders and has an edge that i like to see in a TE/H-back.

if he's healthy i think he could flourish in this offense. PLEASE stay helathy.

He's slow, but he looks like he can take and give a hit.

ill bet u he's faster than shelton was.

shelton was a zero factor in the offense besides blocking. and he lost a step last season. IF schouman can play up to his potential and stay healthy i think he will add a dimension this offense never had, a FB/H-Back that can actually catch a ball and maybe break some tackles.

think about having lynch, a dual threat coming out of the backfield, and schouman, a pass catching threat on short to intermediate routes.

thats 2 more options we had than last season with shelton and willis.

The big IF is IF he can stay healthy...he's had durability concerns.

yea, I mean, I definitely think our offense is going to much more multi-dimensional this year and Schouman helps.

              Re: schouman potential

I caught a few Boise St. games and thought he's a gifted TE with fair speed and great hands...but probably too small for the NFL.

When the the Bills mentioned playing him at H-Back, I thought it was pure genius for a 7th round pick. They are using him perfectly. He can block and is far faster than any FB. He'll make the team and draw coverage after a few catches.

Another safety valve, in addition to drafting 2 RB's who are very good at catching the ball. Losman should have sky high confidence with Fairchild looking to add more short, low risk passes. This will only give Losman another 2-3 shots downfield at Lee Evans blowing by single coverage each game. Works like a positive domino effect. Everything on Offense gets better.

              We like.

Hopefully this team will finally use its tight-ends in the passing game.

I think he'll make this team and he may be productive as well .

He's a 7th rounder, its not like we should expect the next Vernon Davis.

Well, he could always gain 50 pounds and we can convert him to an awesome RT ala Jason Peters. haha

No, his number. Well, that's what Mikeys said, anyway.
