Seriously, how tall is Shaud Williams? Please, please, can we get rid of him?

Unless they carry extra RB's, I don't see him making the squad. He will be in training camp, though, and probably one of the last cuts.

Unless he gets 'injured'.

When I see Shaud play I really think "Barry Sanders". Thanks for pointing that out. I thought I saw Shaud getting abused and thrown around last year when he was on the field. I must have been wrong.

I think if we "truly" thought highly of Shaud we wouldn't have drafted 2 running backs and signed Scobey.

Williams was only active for about 5 games last season. Jauron kept him last year because of his value to the team as a practice player - it is hard to prepare to face an opponent's ultra-quick player if you don't have one on your own team to practice against.

Maybe Scobey can fill that role next season and actually contribute on special teams as well.

Williams is like Michael Myers. He's impossible to kill off. The guy will be a Bill for life and will likely end up on the Wall, then he'll join John Murphy in the announcing booth by 2017 as Mark Kelso's replacement.

He'll be one of the last Training Camp cuts. Scobey will make the team over him. :up:

when I think of that RB, it reminds me of our comeback game against the Bills. Sigh, the last time we beat the Bills which was a while ago.

That was out of the Buffalo News!! JP isn't even 6'3" which makes the picture ten times worse.

Shaud at this point is little more than insurance in case one of the three RB's before him (Lynch, WRight, A-Train) go down with injury.

Between them three and Scobey, and the fact we'll carry at least one extra TE (no fullback)- I dont see any way barring injury Shaud makes this team.

What up with all the Shaud hate doggs???

Don't forget just a few years ago he was the feature back on 3rd down and a lot of our passing situations....I think a lot of you are going to be surprised this year when he gets a lot of carries especially if Lynch doesn't show something in training camp.

Roscoe Parish is short. I'm not posting that we cut him.

However, Shaud will never be confused with Barry Sanders and his size has not helped him. I'm surprised that we are carrying him through camp.

He's currently the 3rd string RB.

I'm interested in improving at every position, especially RB. Let's not forget that he took a roster spot last year and he wasn't much of a player. We can't improve if we keep having crappy players taking roster spots.

Shaud is #3 right now and training camp hasn't even begun. I guess he's just a player that some people love to hate despite everything he's done for this team and his strong work ethic.

Barry Sanders is 5'8 and Shaud Williams is 5'7. Although think about what Zach Thomas said "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog." Zach is 5'11 and he still kicks a$$!

still, in that picture Shaud barely comes up to JP's shoulder, and although he's leaning forward a little, he's also closer to the front than JP which would make him appear taller and JP appear shorter.

If Shaud is 5'8", JP is 6'7"

And JP's listed at 6'3", which mean's he's probably really between 6'1" and 6'2".

If the team went to Darien Lake, Shaud and Roscoe would have to sit there while the big boys went on all the rides.
