I didn't know Clements played baseball!

Losing cornerback Nate Clements, their best playmaker on defense, to the San Francisco Giants as an unrestricted free agent has put the Bills into full scramble mode.

Do these people get paid to write this stuff?

Hopefully, not much. The computer and the Internet have created a group of "jounalists" who 10 years ago were struggling to write on bathroom walls.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

It was generated by "The Sports Xchange", a syndicated agency started by Frank Cooney back in 1987 (he covered the NFL for Hearst Newspapers from 1966 until then). It is a network of football writers and analysts, so that notebook was probably written by a Buffalo Bills beat writer. Their content is purchased by various outlets, like CBS Sportsline, Fox Sports and USA Today.

Despite the error you pointed out, they generally do a very good job (IMO).

They probably do a very good job. I just found it humorous to see Nate Clements going to the San Francisco Giants.

It's the ultimate embarrassment when you can't even get the team names right. What does that say about the rest of that writer's work?

                      Can you say fired?
