Here is what the other DT's on the Buffalo Bills will be making for the 2007 season, according to Clump's cap page.

Tim Anderson 850 k
Kyle Williams 408 K
John McCargo $1.312 million
Larry Tripplett $3.785 million (wow)

Darwin Walker is scheduled to make $1.3 million. He had 5.5 sacks last year. The Bills as DT unit had 2.5 sacks combined (all by Tripplett)

What do you think Darwin Walker DESERVES to be paid in terms of a contract?

if i am basing it on what i would say if i was walker, then i would say he deserves what tripplett is making. i think, barring the developement of mccargo and williams, he will be the best DT on the roster.

as a fan, i think he deserves a 2.5 mill a year deal with a 5 mill SB.. 4 years 15 mill.

If he thinks for a second that he is worth top DT money then he deserves to get his ass shipped back to Philly.

exactly right.

i do think he should get paid the same as triplett, based solely on the fact that he is better than him, IMO.
idk if i want to give him that much though.

AGreed.. Sounds more than fair to me. There's no reason Buffalo shouldn't pay that amount.

What do you think Walker Deserves?

A swift kick in the ass. Actually, his agent deserves it more then him. Not like the Bills don't have a handful of rookies to sign on top of this. A little patience might help.

top DT or top DT on OUR TEAM?

Given how Tripplett played last year, I think it's pretty easy to make a case that he's worth more than Tripplett (of course, Tripplett's contract seems ridiculously inflated....)

i would say 2.3 mil a year over 4 years with a 4 million dollar signing bonus broke up over 2 years,

In my view, Walker is the starter and since Tripplett makes "x" amount, you simply do the math from there! Easy....

tripplett was a FA when we signed him, Walker is currently under contract, comparing the two are apples and oranges. you know whats gonna be the worst part of this, watching philly in the playoffs next year, and watching spikes pump up the crowd. knowing we only got a 6th for him.

anyone who thinks TKO is done is going to be sadly mistaken.

I think what T suggested is reasonable or at least in that ballpark.

While I like Walker and think he upgrades our line, even if it is only marginally, didnt like 3 of his sacks come against Drew Bledsoe in one game.

His stats are slightly misleading.

2 yr extension with $2 million signing bonus.......salaries of $1.75 million each yr with $2.5 million roster bonus in '08........he could be a FA after this season

"Cash to cap" impact of $2.45 million in '07

Me too. He isn't worth what he will be asking for.

I'd give him about $2-3 million a year.

he had 6 sacks in the regular season, and 2 in the playoffs.. even if you pull a wys and take away his 3 against the statue, that is still 5 last year.. that is the same as 2 of our DEs.
