Realizing that Peerless Price is a putz, and all the talk about a #2 WR.

It got me thinking. WHo do you think are some of the game's great all-time #2 Wr's? A #2 doesnt usually lead his team in catches, and he doesn't get a lot of the glory.

With no research.. Off the top of my head Reggie Wayne and John Taylor come to mind. I'd say flip a coin between HOlt and Bruce, but theyre stats are so close I dont think either is a #2.

Who else is there?

James Lofton

Cris Carter was pretty good while he was the 2 man in Minnesota... The Oilers had 4 pretty good recievers at one point in the early 90s, so pick and choose from that group who you want to be the #2.

James Lofton
I wouldnt say Lofton, mainly because his best years weren't as a number two.. He was the man in GB for a long time.

he was only in Buffalo for 4 years and only had 1000 yard season here, although his yards per catch from 1990-92 was sick.

My first thought was Taylor.

Wayne is very good, no doubt, I think he will be a #1 in a couple years when the Colts O gets broken up.

Currently, Reggie Wayne. Although I guess at this point it could be argued that Wayne is the 1 and Harrison is the 2. If so, Harrison is the best 2.

TJ Houshmandzadeh, Amani Toomer, Keenan McCardell, Muhsin Muhammad. Older guys such as Gary Clark, Art Monk, and Sanders. One of them can be considered a #2.

If anything, Fitzgerald is the number 2 in Arizona. Boldin had only 7 yards less in 2 less games 2 years ago, and Fitzgerald had 300 less yards in 3 less games this year. Boldin is a beast.
