Bills Pro Bowl defensive end Aaron Schobel was back at practice Wednesday after not making it out to the Tuesday session. Attendance for the Bills on the whole has been impressive with the only consistent absentee being Darwin Walker.

"We've had great participation and great enthusiasm," said head coach Dick Jauron. "By in large our team is in terrific shape conditioning-wise for this time of year. I give them a lot of credit, but we need the work."

Run game
The Bills ground attack took on a greater focus in the team portions of practice with an emphasis on the inside running game. Anthony Thomas and Marshawn Lynch saw the most action, with Lynch making some eye-popping cuts and decisions.

7-on-7
Peerless Price was a popular target of Losman's during this segment as he was gaining good separation on crossing patterns. He had three catches during this portion of team practice.

What's this? JP can't Make up his mind? First it's Reed. Then it's Evans . Then it Everrett. Then It's Price.

Why does he keep spreading the ball?

Oh no! How are we supposed to find out if there is a legitimate #2 on the roster with all this ball spreading crap?

You guys see that thing at the bottom about the accidental collision between Lynch and Crowell?? I know we're thin as all get out at LB but if he hurt Lynch i would have personally executed Crowell in his sleep.

You know, I'm pretty damn optimistic about JP and the team, but making any judgments about how things are going to go from OTA's and 7 on 7 drills with no hitting and all that is pretty thin.

Paul Hamilton, the Bills guy on GR550, made a semi-big deal out of Wilson making decent progress in his switch from WR to safety.

Yeah, but he more blamed Nall for playing so poorly and making Wilson look better than he probably is.

Practice without pads means?

Practice against what could be the worst defense in the NFL means?

Practice in June means?

Why does he keep spreading the ball?

JP's been great at spreading the ball out since he started. That's why it was so frustrating listening to all those that wanted Holcomb in there. Even in '05 when the split time, and while JP's overall #'s didn't reflect superlatively (surprise for a first time starter /sarcasm), here were their distribution #s for passes spread among the top 3 WRs:

It was clear that JP was the better QB over Holcomb and just needed some time. This is a huge year for him. If he can find his short game and bring that to an above average level, then expect him to step into the top-10 for QBs.

Also, imagine if JP had started all 16 that year. What kind of numbers would Evans have had. 1K/10 TDs?

Optimism has no place on a fans message board.
LOL

Optimisim in JP, Evans, Lynch, Pos, or Peters is one thing.

Optimism in fifth or sixth year players that have proven nothing but depth caliber play or players that can't stay out of the training room and were absurdly overrated is entirely another.

Is anyone going to put more money in the notion that L. Walker, McCargo, or Tripplett will become an impact player over say JP, Lynch, or Dockery?

I agree somewhat, but i wouldnt clump McCargo in with those scrubs. He should still be given the opporunity to prove himself fully.

who's making judgements about how things are going to go based on OTA's?:idunno:

I'm merely ponting out that JP has the ability to go with whoever is open whether people consider the wr a no.1, 2 or 3. A trait that made Brady who he is ,unlike JP's predecessor who locks on to his favorite wr's.

I'm not saying JP is anything close to Brady but the negative nancies can call me a homer anyday for being positive about JP having that ability to do so. I mean if they can be nervous about the 2 picks in the 1ST day of OTA's, I have every reason to think positive.
