All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Doesnt Merz have to play with the first two units before he can be considered a legitimate starting prospect?
It clearly looks like its Preston or Whittle right now.
Think Colston started out OTA's running with the first two units last year? The world isn't in black and white Patrick. He started a game last year against the Pats, he must have done something right. My "inside source/rich friend" tells me that McNally is big on Merz and his future.

Of course not. COlston was a rookie last year.
Merz is not a rookie.. and he "started a game against the NE Patriots" last year.
SO if McNally is THAT big on Merz as a starter.. then why hasn't he seen a single rep with the first team? Why is a 87-year old vet like Whittle alternating snaps with Preston and not Merz?

You do realize that there is very little you can take away from OTA's right? We'll see when the pads get put on. The depth chart right now will be changed at least fifty times from now till the start of the seasonn.
Preston is the favorite I think. If he sucks in training camp as much as Pat thinks, then Buffalo will do some experimenting with Merz and Butler. I could not begin to predict what the outcome will be.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

To me, Preston is another Josh Reed, Ryan Denney, Coy Wire..
They are what they are.. 3rd year, 5th year, 8th year. They are backup role players and they're never going to suddenly "break out". How many years do you give them before it's finally accepted?
Preston is a backup guard. He's garbage as a starter, IMO.
I'm hoping for Butler, Merz, or even Pennington to break from the pack.
Preston is a scrub, he's given me no reason for confidence at this point. He's had PLENTY of time to show he's a starter, and little competition keeping from the field.
Whittle is probably an improvement over Villarial's recent quality of play, but he's clearly only a stopgap.
Thus I want to see Butler, Merz or Pennington show up and win the job, so that we have some feeling of having addressed that position for the future. It would be nice not to have a real need for RG next offseason.
Wake up, brush your teeth, and get ready for a day of hating the Dolphins. Or the Pats? How to choose?
