The Panthers have only 8 players signed and $17.7 mil committed to the cap...could this be a place where NHLers go to find big money?

Third could be the players that they have signed form a nice corps of players. They won't have much as far as a goaltender, but a nice defense and a decent offense.

However, some of the restricted free agents they have might cost a little. They have Nathan Horton and Stephen Weiss.

I think the goaltending issue will make players shy away and the only real goaltender available in free agency is JS Giguere. I still can't figure out why that team didn't make a bigger play for Marty Biron.

Out of curiousity, and Mikey you'd probably be my best help here... Will Florida still be affiliated with the Amerks next year? I thought I read somewhere that they were going back to exclusively the Sabres farm team?

As far as I know, it will be the same dual affiliation for another year. Oh and the Panthers have a damn good young goalie in Craig Anderson. He dominated for the Amerks.
