All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.

• Buffalo: In one sense, it's a wonder more people aren't talking about the Bills, who finished 7-9 in a tough division and had one of the stronger drafts in April. In the other sense, there are many who aren't inspired by J.P. Losman. But the early word out of Buffalo's OTAs -- where, remember, everyone is forever optimistic -- is that Losman has been making sound decisions and isn't forcing the ball downfield, but is still sneaking in big plays to Roscoe Parrish

J. P. Losman started all 16 games for the Bills in 2006.
What a difference a year makes. Bills minicamp opened Monday and Losman looked like a winner. His passes looked crisp and accurate. Receivers ran sharp routes and Losman hit them just as they separated from defenders. On Monday, he was particularly sharp in blitz drills. The ball rarely hit the ground. Receivers caught almost everything. "When you have one year under your belt, coming into your second year, you become more comfortable with the calls, where you need to go, what you need to do," Bills wide receiver Lee Evans said. "He has become a lot more relaxed and a lot more poised in situations in games. He has just become a lot more relaxed."
it may surprise some here to read this, but I honestly wouldn't be all that shocked if the Bills were a sleeper team.
But, characteristically, I also wouldn't be shocked if they crashed and burned to 5-11.
This team has a lot of question marks. If a few players exceed expectations, this team could end up at 10-6. But at the same time, if only a few guys are busts/have sophomore slumps, etc, the team could completely fall apart.
It really is a tough year to predict, but given our youth, inexperience and unproven players at some key positions on D, I think 7-9 is most likely.
Wrote this a few days ago at the zone. replying to a top 5 teams and 5 bottom teams ad sleepers.
Top Five - These are in no Particular Order 1. San Diego - This is there year They have the defense they have the offense they have a QB with a year under his belt. I expect big things out of SD.
2. Indy - Peyton Manning! I hate the guy but he is a damn good leader
3. New England - Same team from last year without RB depth and adding a lot of offense and the best defesnive FA in the league in A.Thomas can not be worse.
4. New Orleans - A lot of talent and in a pretty week division and being in the NFC helps. Be right around where they finished last season.
5. Dallas - I think they have a chance to be one if not the best teams in the NFC. The only reason I am not saying SB this year is because of the new coach. I am not saying he is a bad choice or anything like that just hate giving new coaches that much love.
Bottom Five - These are in no particular Order 1. Oakland - QB is the main piece to an offense and well they dont have one with experience.
2. Detroit - Woohoo great WR's who is there RB? is KJ healthy? Where is the defense here is looking at pick 1.
3. Washington - New QB Portis may not be healthy and there defense is mighty confusing with great safeties.
4. Houston - Shaub? you are not relying on him are you? Not good for Texas
5. Minnesota - New QB with no WR's and a swiss cheese defense well maybe not that bad but not anything to write home about.
Sleeper Teams 1. Cleveland - yeah I know what I said in the other thread but here is why they "could" be a sleeper. All of there advertising is expiring this season, romeo is playing for his job. They could surprise this year with a decent record. These are just somethings that I see but I dont see it fitting together.
2. Buffalo - Losman is not crap and can be something decent, the key for me here is can they run the ball. If they can run the ball they will be better then some think.
3. Green Bay - What? yep GB, if they can get a running game I see some decent things for this team.
