FOr those who are well versed in capanomics- I have a question.
When it comes time to give Lee Evans a new deal, I think it's safe to assume he'll want (and deserve) a contract that's comparable to the extension that Houston WR ANdre Johnson recently signed.
That contract is to pay $60 million over 8 years, with $15 million in guarentees.
Here are Andre Johnson's contract details, courtesy of Fantasy Sports.
3/3/2007: Signed an eight-year, $60 million contract. The deal includes $15 million in guarantees.
2007: $1 million,
2008: $2.835 million,
2009: $5.325 million,
2010: $5.8 million,
2011: $6.8 million,
2012: $7.3 million,
2013: $7 million, 2014:
$7.3 million, 2015: Free Agent
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's say for mathematical sakes that's the same contract that Evans commands and during or after this season we extended him.
If that happened, what would be his "cash to cap" hit for 2008 and 2009?
