All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

Colts | Simon to be released
Fri, 15 Jun 2007 08:53:56 -0700
Mike Chappell, of the Indianapolis Star, reports the Indianapolis Colts will release DL Corey Simon. Simon was not invited to attend the team's Super Bowl ring ceremony Wednesday, June 13.
Id rather Walker go back to Phila, get us a 6th rounder and take a shot on spending that mill a year on Simon instead, even if it takes more than a mill.
The Colts aren't any great shakes at DT. If the best GM in the game, Bill Polian, doesn't want Simon, neither do I. If this were the Simon from three years ago, whom I really wanted us to trade for, it would be different.

If the best GM in the game, Bill Polian, takes Daymieon Hughes at corner in the third round, that means he's a starter and we should've drafted him instead of Edwards?

Ding. Although others will say well we should have taken Hughes instead of Edwards in the draft because Polian took Hughes.

Indy has no use for Simon.
I like Hughes, but it's not as if Polian would have had any reason to take Edwards. They have Manning, who never gets hurt and is only 30.
If the Bills would've taken Hughes, I'd have been cool with it. But I'm also good w/ the Edwards pick. Losman's not yet a sure thing.
Look how pat changes this into EDWARDS is a bad pick and hughes is who we should have drafted...he tatonka add this to his list of repeats. Simon is done i dont want his fat ass here he hasnt showed **** in years...

The Colts don't have Tim ****ing Anderson at DT so it's not a fair comparison. I'm not a huge fan of signing other teams' rejects, but our DT's were so bad last year that other teams' rejects may actually be an improvement in this case.
A hobbled Corey Simon is better than a healthy Tim Anderson or Jason Jefferson.
