I was thinking about it, and even though there are the obvious cash chuckers (Philly, Montreal), how many teams want to spend 6-7 million/year on a guy pushing 30 who is small?

I am a fan of all the Sabres, obviously I'd love to see them keep Drury, but he is going to be a hot commodity, and the more I think about it, the more I see Drury in Cali and Briere staying...

I think Briere will come cheaper, and maybe enable us to keep an extra guy on the roster, whereas signing Drury will take up more payroll and maybe push another guy out the door along with him... that is how I see things panning out as they progress...

I think Regier is too smart to screw up the future to overpay for a player and both of these guys market value is probably more than they are worth right now. We'll have to wait and see.
