Falcons reach agreement with corner Williams

ATLANTA -- Desperate to acquire a starting cornerback, and with the pool of veteran free agents at the position rapidly dwindling, the Atlanta Falcons reached agreement with Tyrone Williams on a five-year contract.

Terms of the contract were not immediately available, but indications are that the former Green Bay Packers starter will sign a deal that is at current market value, about $2 -$2.5 million per year.

8:41 PT: AtlantaFalcons.com reports the Atlanta Falcons have called a press conference for 1:00 PM Monday. Speculation is they will announce the official signing of CB Tyrone Williams.
