    They had their chance in Buffalo. Ottawa spanked them, Anaheim would have done the same. Let Briere go to Philly, it will help them make the playoffs but they won't win the cup with him or Marty for that matter. Let Drury go to LA or SJ if he wants. Notice the rumors are that his wife wants to be out west and some say so does he. I never heard he wanted to go to a team that has a chance to win the cup.

    Briere came from Phoenix and has soared, wait till he ends up on a slower, less accurate passing team thats rebuilding. Do you really think he'll have 95 points again?

    Phooey on them if they go. Glad to have you back if they stay, but show me the Cup

    unfortunately the Sabres probably won't be much of a Stanley Cup contender next year without them. Who could we sign to replace them ? We obvioulsy are crying the financial blues once again.

    Our problems in the playoffs this year came when we let Grier and Wilson leave last year. That was the playoff grit needed that we missed.

              Drury already won the cup twice...didn't he? Why would he care? I think he wants to finish off his career near home and make big bucks to take care of his family.

                      I would of liked to see one of the co-captains signed but if neither are signed then I would like to see them take a stab at Zubrus.

                        Me too. If both go....i would like Zubrus to get a contract offer and them try to find a way to keep him. He was our best player in the playoffs, other than Drury. He was definitely the most consistent, until he got injured.
