Even if he weren't one hit away from the end of his career, he's still no Briere

I think he has just as much if not more talent. He is still young. Remember Briere didn't have a huge 90 point season until his 30s.

They both benefited from the lockout (even though Briere was a 32-goal scorer before the lockout). And when both have played since, Briere has produced more.

Great. That's comforting.
On second thought, it really isn't a big deal. When his next shot to the coconut sidelines him for good, some no-name from Rochester will just step up and perform even better then Connolly ever could.
/sarcasm off.

Connolly has more than enough talent to be a #1 center.
The problem is he's very unlikely to not get injured.
COnnolly is a guy that's great in the lineup but you CANT depend on him for anything long term.

DR is still trying to prove that the trade for Connolly was the best thing he ever did for the franchise.

I like Connolly.
I hope he plays with Vanek next year.
I just wish he'd stay healthy..
