Sabres Next Season

Since almost all the big name FAs and Briere/Drury are gone, where will they finish next season?

Keep in mind the roster they have now and the fact that most of the teams in the East have improved.

I think you'll see pretty much the same teams in next years playoffs, just a different order. Islanders are going nowhere, Toronto will take their place, Atlanta Um.. no. So I'd say 5th at worst.

I have a feeling we're going to rebound from this. I think you'll see players like Vanek/Pominville step up this year to fill the void from Drury and Briere.

Can't answer until at least day 2 of FA. I know the sky is failing but I think there are a few players out there that can kept this team strong, our nucleus is very strong!

for the time being 4-6 just because i still think the rochester sabres can keep it close as long as all are healthy..........

can the rangers be a juggernaut??

The Sabres still have a good team but the gap between Ottawa and Buffalo is much bigger after losing Drury and Briere.

A day after "black Sunday" isn't exactly the best time to make a prediction, but I see this team fighting to make the playoffs next season right now. They don't have that guy in the locker room they appear to need. The best thing to do is wait a little bit and not be to jumpy in our emotional states. However, teams in the Eastern Conference got better. Toronto, NY Rangers, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and Washington are going to be better than they were last year. Buffalo and the NY Islanders got weaker.
