My niece went to Sacred Heart with him, and was asking if they're gonna keep him.

As much as I would like to see a local boy make it, I can't imagine him actually making the team, but I will be rooting for him.

He was at Jim Kelly's football camp. I'm sure he outdid the kids.

does her "boyfriend" have spiky hair, wear flannel shirts and Doc Martens, and listen to Melissa Etheridge by any chance?

It's clear that Whitner, Simpson, and Wendling will make the team. It's rare for a team to keep more than four safeties. If they keep extra DBs they are usually CBs because CBs are more likely to be better in coverage and are faster. The fourth safety spot is currently manned by Jim Leonhard, who is undersized and slow, BUT is considered to be extremely smart, and instinctive for the safety position. If Leonhard doesn't stick, or they do decide to keep a fifth safety, the money favorite to be the other safety to make the team has to be George Wilson, who played there in the OTAs and was pretty impressive. He also seems to be well liked by the coaches and has the versatility to play WR. Moreover, both Leonhard and Wilson are solid special teams player a real plus on any team with which Marv Levy is associated. That means anyone else had better hope he can make the PS because chances of making the active roster are slim to none.

BB.com did an 'Undrafteds in Depth' on him. Did you catch that?
