Maybe DB became too expensive and Philly overpaid....

Maybe CD really wanted to go home and play for his boyhood team the NYR....

Then how come they haven't signed anybody but Adam Mair?? How many players have moved since FA began? There are still a couple of big names out there.

But for some reason the Sabres haven't signed anybody. They have the money. The players were available.

Continuing to fail to sign some new blood will prove that there isn't a committment from management.

You're getting about as bad as some others.

Ebenezer echoes my own thoughts. However, I also believe that we should try to determine at which level of management does the fault lay. My guess is Quinn; I just don't trust the guy. Golisano's big mistake is hiring him. Funny how the owner has been silent throughout....he does own the team.

maybe they are just too busy chasing things around because of a cultural problem. this happens to a lot of organizations who just can't effectively get anything done because they can't get in front of it.

I actually agree with Eb, to a point.

The most dissappointing thing is a lack of a Plan B by this organization.

Plan A / B = Rochester.

Micheal Mancari?

C'mon Skoob. They **** the bed on this one, especially if the Drury story is true.

They still need veterans on this team and could have gone after a Smyth type.

Why is it bad karma always follows Larry Quinn around ?

Why after the Nolan fiasco is he back here ?

Plan A / B = Rochester.

you can't simultaneously replace 2 captains with guys from Rochester.

Yeah, I thought Tom G. was a good businessman. There were good reasons Quinn was fired the first time.

Quinn claims we were prepared to pay Drury what the Rangers did. Once he knew he was gone, he shoulda offered the same for Smyth, who was actually cheaper.

From such excitement to such disgust

From such achievement to such disgrace

From such pride to such shame
