    Golisano

    While reviewing past threads I came across a report where Golisano said "that he's made up his mind and he said that the Sabres are focused on keeping Briere and Drury at any cost"

    So was Golisano ...

    Lying?

    Naive?

    Out of the loop?

    Someone made a good point that a successful businessman like him knows what's going on with his employees, but he's not a hockey man. Maybe he handed the keys to Darcy and Larry.
    I'd really like to hear what he has to say now ... either he changed his mind or is just as pissed as we are.

      I'd really like to hear what he has to say now ... either he changed his mind or is just as pissed as we are.

      I don't believe a man that is as sucessful as he is, says things in public that he doesn't stand behind! I think he is asking the questions as we speak and I think we will hear what he has to say soon, someone will lose their job over this!

          I am as mad as everyone else about this FO screwups, but I have to believe that they felt it was no big deal with Drury. They had to feel that Chris wanted to be there and that they could work out their deal at any time. Those guys are not that stupid. I can't totally blame the FO, Drury gets a little here, not much, but a little.

                I was always under the impression that there is two sides to this. While TG might have said he will do what it takes to sign these guys, maybe these guys had already decided they wanted to move on.

                    Quinn has now screwed up this organization twice. He was fired the first time, but I don't think Golisano really has a clue about hockey and won't fire him this time. There is a common theme in the big blunders in this team's history and Quinn is at the center of 2 of them. Now if that isn't a trend, then I don't know what is.

                      3 Times. Quinn is the genius behind the yellow slug that we have to put up with for another 5-10 years.

                        Quinn isn't going anywhere, he's the one that actually got Golly to buy the Sabres. Golisano knows nothing about hockey he's a businessman. That's why Quinn is the Managing Partner of the Sabres.

                              that still makes me want to hurl. I was even willing to buy the slug if Danny or Drury stayed...but not anymore. I'll just wear my throwback of Ryan Miller while he is still a Sabre and be happy.
