Drury has at least SOME culpability in this too. He has basically stated that they took too long and weren't aggressive enough for him to go back. If that were the case, and being the stand up guy that he is, I think he could have let the Sabres management know that so that MAYBE they could have taken a run at Briere if their prospects of signing him weren't that good.
