Arbitration will give him at least 3-4 mill a year. After paying Vanek, there is no way they give Roy much money. We will lose yet another good young player guaranteed.

1. Why do we assume we will lose Roy.

2. Did anyone watch him in the playoffs. I don't think one player pissed me off more than Derek Roy did.

1. Why do we assume we will lose Roy.

2. Did anyone watch him in the playoffs. I don't think one player pissed me off more than Derek Roy did.

1. They've already lost Briere, Drury, Zubrus and in a desperate PR move had to grossly overpay Vanek. I'm starting to notice a trend here...

2. Since Quinn himself refuses to get outside help, Connolly and Gaustad are the only centermen on this team if Roy leaves. Oh yeah, and Michael Ryan. That'll work well...

I'm basing it on our FO's ineptitude and the pattern of their dealings so far. They are way too busy trying to pound out a longterm contract for Andrew Peters.

Did you ever stop to think that getting Peters signed is a ten minute conversation? It really was not much work.

As for the FO's ineptitude, if you recall the same FO was in place last year so last year's situation is more than applicable.
