All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
This is only a test
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Sabres still have a very, very, very good core of players
Re: Sabres still have a very, very, very good core of players
Yes we do have some great players in our system.....
However without the experienced grit leading the team winning the cup in the short term became a bigger challenge.
and if what we've seen over the past decade as soon as our youth gets to that level of experience and grit they ship off to greener pastures leaving us chasing our tails.
As assembled they are betting that there are another CD and DB in that bunch...that is a tall bet. There is nobody on that roster that is going to get them to the semis. All we heard was how they would lose offense, become more defensive and get grittier and tougher....I don't think the last defensive, gritty part has been accomplished. Maybe that will change but not as of right now.
For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.
Re: Sabres still have a very, very, very good core of players
I don't think many are disputing the strong core but we were a final 4 team the last 2 years, looking to get a bit better.
Now we may have dropped back several spots. Good enough to make the conference playoffs but able to go deep into the post season again ? Call me skeptical.

A shot? I'd bet good money we are at least a 6 seed next year.

Re: Sabres still have a very, very, very good core of players
They do have some good players, but they don't have the right mix...as it stands right now. Not enough grit, heart, size or character. Plus, some more veterans would be ideal.
I have been saying this ever since the NASS HISTARIA started Sunday night!
Would I have liked Drury to still be the Captain ofthis team HELL YES!!! But he isn't, get over it move on there is NOTHING we can do about it and THERE OBVIOULY NOT GOING TO FIRE ANYONE IN THE FRONT OFFICE
