why ditch Milloy and Vincent last year just to sign Darius this year?

He's past his prime and he plays the only position on D that's actually set (other than Schobel's). I'd like to see them concentrate their effort in other areas.

Signing him would make no sense IMO. Whitner and Simpson are the safeties and should be for a long time. I don't get this.

Depth and competition are always valuable, especially when involving young players being pushed by high character veterans.

Excellent post. Why not use this money to sign a legit DT like Corey SImon, get some valuable depth at LB or even competition for Ellison? Even another WR wouldn't be a bad idea.

Simon who has a possible debilatating injury? What LB depth do you suggest? Or WR? Would you prefer we sign the japanese guy the Falcons just did? Your ideas are fine, but atleast make them practical by naming someone.
