What happened to our 4 1st line lines? We lost 2 guys out of the top 12 scores we had and we are that hurt??

Your posts are nearly un-commentable; that's how little sense they both make.

We lost 2 of our 3 scorers- not 2 out of 12.

on top of that, those two were also our captains- not to mention our first and second line centers.

I doubt Pomminville is a 34-goal scorer without Briere.

Dont even get me started about the things Drury brought.

While it doesnt mean the Sabres are going to suck, trying to downplay the loss of them two is just absolutely idiotic.

BTW, why dont you throw up playoff stats instead and throw in Zubrus as well.

Skooby, you've missed the point.

Regarding Briere:
This offense didn't do jack squat before Briere showed up. It wasn't the lockout that took them from worst to first-- it was the fact that they had a guy with a potential to be a 40-goal scorer on the roster. Heck, the last part of the 2003-04 season Briere was on pace, if he had played the whole season, for 40 goals-- in the old NHL no less.

Regarding Drury and Zubrus:
Their roles were not as scorers. Zubrus was brought in to be a physical player. Drury was brought in to be a leader and a second line center. Both fulfilled their roles as well as could have been expected.

Regarding the four scoring lines:
That did nothing in the playoffs for the Sabres. They lacked toughness (not to mention, they quit) and it cost them a long-overdue Stanley Cup. Which, by the way, this team has steadfastly refused to bring in from outside ("we're not going to bring in other teams' players"-- direct quote from Quinn). There's only one guy willing to consistently dish out hits remaining on this team and it's Kaleta, and I'm not sure he's ready yet.

This team had an ultimatum: Cup or bust. They chose bust. Shameful cowards.
