Re: peters mentioned with the elite LT's
Not bad for a guy that only has a 2007 cap hit of $2.6 million for a potential STUD LT spot.
His base for 2008 is only $2.2 million. If he plays the way many think he will this year, he may price himself into a new contract extension by next year.. Unless we want another Pete Kendall on our hands

Re: peters mentioned with the elite LT's
all of the teams associated with the top 5 LT's are playoff teams/superbowl contenders
Last year after moving Peters to LT our O was noticeably improved.
Hard to argue the importance of a great LT, and why it is such a high priced position.

Re: peters mentioned with the elite LT's
It's insane not to have a guy like Matt Lepsis on that list, he's been doing it so well, for so long. McNeill did have the benefit of being next to Dielman, also blocking for Rivers and LT can't be the toughest job in the world.
