10:09 PT: The New York Post reports highly-placed sources close to Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Keyshawn Johnson placed at least one call to the New York Jets to inquire about their interest in bringing him back to New York. However, Johnson wasn’t available for comment and his agent, Jerome Stanley, said he wasn’t aware of any conversation Johnson might have had. Should Tampa Bay trade him, they’d be hit with a $7.5 million salary cap hit. Considering their current salary cap problems, that would be difficult to absorb. Due to the league’s tampering policies, the Jets are unable to talk about Johnson.
