Reserve safety Sam Brandon (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=6017), a key component in the Denver Broncos (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=den)' "big nickel" defensive package, has been suspended for two games by the NFL for a violation of the league's personal conduct policy.
If his appeal is not successful, Brandon will miss the first two games of the regular season and will forfeit $76,470 of his scheduled base salary of $650,000.
Most importantly he will not be available for Bills opener.
