All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
...So, while the Bills have made sacrifices when it comes to name recognition, they've offset those losses with solid, younger, team-centered guys. And why not? Any fair-minded fan has to admit that, overall, this hasn't exactly been a glorious decade for the Buffalo Bills.

These so called "superstars" the Bills let walk this offseason have accomplished squat when it comes to team success.
Lets be honest though. Much like the current Fins, Nobody on the team has really had team success. IMO, that is just one guy making the loses seem more acceptable
True enough... But the article hits it on the head when it addresses "name recognition"... And that's all that the national media goes on.
The truth is...
1) "Lost a step" and "Over the hill" are accurate describers for London Fletcher.
2) "Injury prone" and "Potential career ending injury" may carry more truth than any other concerning Takeo Spikes.
3) "Underachieving" is a label I would apply to Nate Clements through all of 2005 and the 1st half of 2006.
In any event... The 10's of millions of dollars for carrying them on the 2007 roster is not worth it in my book.
I agree that Fletcher and Spikes are likely on the downside of their career's. Clements is young and good. However, I can't blame the Bills for not paying him the kind of money he got. That all being stated, the Bills will miss these guys. Especially early in the season. I agree with the youth movement, but the younger guys stepping in will have some growing pains. Longer term, the Bills are building a really good core. Hopefully, they will be able to keep some of the young talent, i.e. get Losman and Evans extended.

Exceptional post!!
All the BS around here about being a "negative nancy" if you don't believe the Bills will be better after losing key players is ridiculous.
the only core players we really lost were Fletcher, and sometimes - when he feels like playing - Clements.
I think we've gotten better with Posluszny (and if there's any merit to this DiGiorgio talk - I know I read an article a few years ago about Brandon Spoon challenging Fletcher for the starting middle job - Spoon ended up getting cut if I remember correctly - so we'll really just have to wait and see).
Agreed.....BTW draz is the Skooby rule coming back this fall??....
GO BILLS!!!!!

I think most Bills fans are seeing it that way, it's just a select group of extreme cheer leaders, and extreme doom + gloomers that try to debate it to death.
