View Full Version : Buffalo's most hated...

Recent actions by guys such as Chris Neil and Willis McGahee got me thinking... who are the guys that Buffalo sports fans love to hate?

Bryan Cox and Brett Hull immediately come to mind...

Of course, I'm thinking of guys who haven't played here, but I guess there would be some (McGahee) that currently or previously played here as well. Not limited to just the NFL/NHL either...

Why TO? What has he done to piss off Bills fans? I get the others...

I wonder what some of the older fans have to say...

Who were the enemies during the 60's... 70's... 80's...?

I was always hoping someone would take out his knees. The stuff I saw him pull at the old Aud was criminal.

currently I don't hate anyone on the Bills. They all seem to be a bunch of nice people, pretty tame at this point. I'm not saying they're isn't a bunch of talent in some areas, but there isn't anyone currently on the team that is actually scary like Bruce Smith was.

Cox, Marino, Jimmy Johnson, Tom Brady are all definites. Darcy Tucker is a good one, I'd also add in Tie Domi. Hmm... I'll have to ponder this some more today.

I would think Brady has to be pushing Marino for most hated in the hearts of Bills fans. Didn't the Bills have a pretty good record against Marino?

Brady is 11-1 against the Bills since taking over as the starting QB in 2001.

The old Bruins too from the early 70's. Espo, Hodge, Cashman, O'Reilly.

I think the Bruins were our first real rivalry.

I feel mostly sadness when I think about OJ. I used to love to watch him run when I was a kid. :ill:

That really hurts Miyagi. Especially considering the Pats reversed that score in the last game of the year and went on to win the Super Bowl.

You must be new to the whole trash-talk thing.

Somewhere on youtube is that famous fight where Schoenfeld put Cashman through the boards at the zamboni opening, and they continued to fight out in the hall.

That was a game when Schoefeld dropped the gloves with Orr early in the game. Cashman and Vadnais spent the rest of the game trying to pay him back.

It is a deep seeded and well rooted hate that likely will never leave. It all started late 70's/early 80's.

My favorite Buffalo sports memory that I witnessed live was MayDay.
