I say Flowers because we were able to trade Cousineau to the Browns for draft choices....one of which turned into some guy named Kelly :)

I heard a rumor that Kelly guy was a decent player.

                J. D. Williams had some marginal productivity. There are some other first round busts of note. Walt Patulski - defensive end, Phil Dokes-defensive end?, Perry Tuttle-WR. I'd say Tuttle was at least as dissapointing as Flowers.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

                  WALT PATULSKI

Won the Lombardi award in 1971 while playing at Notre Dame. Overall #1 pick in the NFL draft by the Bills in '72.

How many of you younger members have even HEARD of him???

Cousineau, Flowers, Williams don't even belong in the same league as this loser.

Can anyone come up with a bigger bust than this? I doubt it!

Patulski, by far, since he was the first pick of the entire draft. Although Cousineau was just as big a wash-out as a player.

                          LMAO!

You had to be there. I was in 10th grade, and thought we'd bought our equivalent of the Steel Curtain. Our defense would be imprengnable, with a major stud tearing the heads off QBs and RBs. What did we get? A firecracker without a fuse.

This guy was as impressive as Flowers - a total non-entity on the field. The problem is that he was the #1 pick in the NFL draft.

People remember OJ because he was a great RB and acquitted murderer. The only way people would remember Patulski is if he killed his wife (if she were famous).
