ATLANTA (TICKER) -- The Atlanta Thrashers on Tuesday avoided arbitration with Garnet Exelby, re-signing the defenseman to a multi-year contract.
Terms were not disclosed.
Exelby, 25, appeared in 58 games with Atlanta last season, recording two goals and eight assists.
The 6-1, 215-pound blue-liner has spent his entire career in the Thrashers organization after being selected in the eighth round of the 1999 draft. He has recorded four goals and 28 assists in 219 games over four seasons.
