Hotels to stay out when going to a Bills game?

    Hey everyone

I am traveling up to Buffalo for the first time with my brother in december to see Giants Vs Bills!! He is a big Giants fan and I'm a big Bills fan so it should be fun. My questions is: Where is a good hotel to stay at? We definately want to go to Canada the night before. So is there a good hotel that is near Niagra Falls/Canada border but at the same time very close to Ralph Wilson Stadium?

    Help!!

Downtown Marriott if the renovations are done, otherwise there is a clarion that has an indoor pool and is really nice as well right near everything.

You could stay at the Marriot on Millersport Highway as well. There is also a Holiday Inn in Amherst on Niagara Falls Boulevard. This is right off the highway, so it would be easy to get to the Ralph and to Canada from it.

        Thanks guys

I'm driving 7 hours to get there - any ideas how far these places are from the stadium and canada?

bring a passport if you want to go to Canada. It depends where you want to go in Canada- you can take the Peace Bridge from 190 and be there in no time from downtown (assuming it's not backed up, which sometimes happens going through customs). Niagara falls is about a 25-30 minute drive north up 190, then you can take the Rainbo Bridge (the view is better from the Canadian side).

We stayed at a decent Best Western near the airport that was an easy drive to the stadium, but if you want to go out at night it wasn't that close to downtown.

Chippewa is fun. I used to go out on the Canadian side of the falls when I was in college cuz you can drink at 19- it wasn't all that great. There are a lot of tourist trap type places.

Of course, there's always the Canadian Ballet (strip clubs), if you're into that kind of thing.

oh yeah I forgot about that- there is one on the American side and one on the Canadian side. Those are worth the trip.

I don't know if it is still true, but back when i used to go, sometimes there would be lines to get in to the one on the Canadian side on weekends.

STAY at the HYATT downtown. You are close to Chippewa and most likey the visiting team is staying at the hotel also....

We stay at either the Hampton Inn on Chippewa or at the Hampton Inn in East Aurora. Plus for Chippewa is the bars. Lots of them and you are right there -- no driving. Plus for East Aurora is half the price, and no traffic to/from the game. Problem with East Aurora is there is no nightlife at all. When we take my son and nephew, we stay in East Aurora. When its just my wife and I or a buddy, we stay downtown.

BTW, both Hamptons are nice hotels.
A Bills fan in Dixie. How did that happen?

Hampton Inn is already sold out - any other ideas in that area?
