Well our D is pretty bad too. I could see this at least somewhat working if the Canucks gave us Morrison, Ohlund, and Bourdon. It would never happen, obviously.
The Canucks are trying to fill a right wing hole. They have a very strong D core already. Besides that, Pominville wouldn't be nearly worth that in the first place.

Hell if Roy is worth 5mil per, Pommers is worth three players.

Yeah, I would be very happy with a deal like that. top prospect, top d-man and a usable forward for a 30 goal scorer who was mainly was the product of danny briere. no wonder the canucks turned it down.

And you are right...it was a good deal for the Sabres. No wonder the Canucks turned it down.
